Politics and Greed (Blues Rock)

How I wish I could fall asleep
And wake again in another day
But my eyes are open wide and I see

Our world is changing the damage done
Some say the time is growing short and
I don’t know if I can stay here

Looking back at the gift we had
Life in balance a miracle.
How could we let it slip away?
Still ignoring the warning signs
What will be left behind
After the Politics and Greed?

How I wish it was all a dream
This haunting omen of suffering
But my ears will not be fooled and I hear

Talk of science and storms to come
They say our time is growing short and
I don’t know if we can stay here

Looking back at the gift we had
Life in balance a miracle.
How could we let it slip away?
Still ignoring the warning signs
What will be left behind
After the Politics and Greed?

Man Phobic (Pop)

Vocals & Lyrics : DirgeK
Music : Peter Dieck

I’m man-phobic,
And I get a panic attack
When a man’s disrobing,
It’s not something I consciously control.
I’m man-phobic,
It’s a reflex-led reaction
to a man meeting me on the Southbank walk.

I’d heard they were a pestilent creature,
I’d been hoping I’d never have to meet one.

You might baulk...
They’re spin-chilling to observe.
you say it’s all talk... but I haven’t said a word

I’m man-phobic
and it’s been recognised
by a medical board.

(build)

It’s an unspoken
Body movement,
A forward motion
Generally ensues and
I’ve the ad hominem informed notion
He’s making me lose my sense of ease.

(respiritive attack)

It’s not a gender slur,
I’m as misogynistic as the next man,
I’ve seen the girls fawn,
and frankly they’re a societal letdown.
I’m man-phobic,
I don’t let them touch me...
Unless they really feel the need.

I think my allergy was triggered when one tried to pouce upon me, I hear they’re deeply flawed in some way

Help me fight it, I need someone to help me let down my defences

(zenith section)

I’m man-phobic,
And I get a panic attack
When a man’s disrobing,
It’s not something I consciously control.
I’m man-phobic,
It’s a reflex-led reaction
to a man driving into my very soul.

Help me fight it, I need someone to help me let down my defences

It’s an unspoken
Body movement,
A forward motion
Generally ensues and
I’ve the ad hominem informed notion
He’s making me lose my sense of ease.

Help me fight my phobia.

Goddess & The Sun King (Pop Rock)

Credits:
The Moose Lewis Band

I see a crescent moon – split the azure sky
Feel the creeping cool – as it brings the night
But this is not the end – it’s just a begin (ning)
To the cycle of love – from the Goddess above

You’ll see the World in her eyes – feel the wind in Her sighs
With Her fire and heat – She’ll knock you right off your feet
And you won’t know where to turn – when you’re starting to burn
But you will know who you are – when you swing on her star

She is the Goddess above; I am the Sun King of Love
I bring Her passion and grace; I put that smile on your face
So put your hands in the air and throw your clothes everywhere
Cause now you’re feeling that thing; Goddess and the Sun King

You can choose to be – happy, you can be free
You be you, I’ll be me – together sailing away
I got this old guitar – you got the moon in a jar
Intoxicatingly free – Goddess and the Sun King

Why don’t we see if we – can find a place to be
Where the Earth meets the Sky – where the Sun meets the Sea
Where we can be alone – you could sit on my throne
Together we will be – Goddess and the Sun King

I see a crescent moon – split the azure sky
Feel the creeping cool – as it brings the night
But this is not the end – it’s just a begin (ning)
For you and me – Goddess and The Sun King

Lookout! The Sun King’s going down

Retrospective (Zydeco)

The retrospective on the town
They see their values going
Down on all their property and every time they look at me
I wonder what they think of me
Do they say,
"He is just too free with his philosophy and twisting up reality"?
I don't know what they wanna / gonna do
Don't know if what they say is
True - that I enable and de-stable; incorrigible…
The retrospective on the town
[1]The neighborhood is going down.
[3]They see their daughters going down.

From my perspective on the town
They draw their shades when I come
‘Round to take a peek at me like I’m some f***in’ refugee
The Kudzu King and weasel’s hole
Is full of garbage with no soul – they it call industry, it’s criminal; incendiary!
I don’t know what I’m supposed to do
Don’t know if what I think is true
That they look down on me with avarice and bigotry…
From my perspective on the town
I see their lifestyle going down.

Well, it's a Lynchburg serenade, out in the shade – down on the ground
And 4:20's time for tea, just Sarah and me - foolin' around!

The retrospective on the town
They see the whole thing going – na, na, na, na – na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na – na: down!

(Well… there goes the neighborhood!)

Our love was a work of art
‘til tragedy came
Never mend this broken heart
Dying in shame
All of the emptiness
Will never be filled
C1
Embrace insanity,
Drowning in my tears, like falling rain
Forsake reality,
Choking down the years I’ll live in vain
V2 extended
Brought out the best in me
And then she was gone
Erase the rest of me
Don’t want to go on
Lost my identity
When she left this world

Memories condemning me
I’m at fault and it’s killing me

She was my everything
My body and soul

Or maybe it was just a dream
On my knees I start to scream

Bridge
All that’s left are memories… that won’t fade away
Our love was a symphony… that no longer plays
Won’t you please come back for me… I’m going insane

V3
She paid the final price
I’m missing her so
And I pray she’s forgiven me
Can’t believe she’s not here with me
C2 extended
Embrace insanity,
Wander thru my mind, you’re just the same
Forsake reality,
Angry at the Heavens, scream your name
Embrace insanity,
Looking at the world just out of reach
Forsake reality,
Couldn’t learn the lessons life would teach
Embrace insanity,
Drowning in my tears, like falling rain
Forsake reality,
Choking down the years I’ll live in vain
Embrace Insanity
Drowning in my tears, like falling rain
Forsake reality,
Choking down the years I’ll live in vain

Acoustic Prayer - (Soft Pop Waltz)

Credits:
AKG - Author music, and lyrics
The Funge - Stringed Quartet
Marc - Acoustic guitar, vocal
Keeper - Drums, mix

To this world that we've known, a child will be born
A bond has been made that cannnot be torn
Let this brave hearted woman, and her innocent child
Find all of the treasures you have in store

May this prayer find her in peace
For in her loving arms will a beautiful child lay asleep
She whispers in her ear, a sacred lullabye of love for her

The pains of growing up, I know you feel it for two
And it's harder to figure out what's best to do
But even through the dark, I know you'll follow your heart
And never let harm touch your loved one

May this prayer find her in peace
For in her loving arms will a beautiful child lay asleep
She whispers in her ear, a sacred lullabye of love for her

May the child be as beautiful as her mother.
